Vintage Design
The cantilever chair model 34/402 was designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1930s for Artek. The offered one is a very early model from the 1940s, which was deliberately not restored to preserve the beautiful aging of the chair. It sits very well in the armchair. The original spring upholstery is comfortable, the upholstery shows some light wear, but this does not bother the experience. The wood has a lively, wonderful patina.
