We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely very rare 19th century Anglo-Indian / Burmese hand carved Elephant occasional table with Pietra Dura Specimen marble top The table on its own is quite rare however they do come up every now and then, usually listed as Burmese when ornately carved like this or Anglo Indian, this one I would say is Burmese due to the darkness of the timber and as mentioned the quality and depth of the carving The top is a rare 19th century Italian Specimen marble Pietra Dura piece full of precious stones and marble We have cleaned waxed and polished the timber, the frame has been checked and secured and it is ready to go Dimensions: Height 64 cm Width 69 cm Depth 69 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
