Vintage Design
Camealonda modular sofa designed by Mario Bellini in 1970 for C&B Italia.
A first C&B Italia (Cassina – Busnelli) production in original Mohair original Dark Brown color, consisting of 3 large modules with armrests and a small module, the set is in excellent condition.
Chamelean is the neologism invented by the designer Mario Bellini who in the 70s revolutionizes the scenario of contemporary design, deciding to cross two words, apparently distant from each other, to give a meaning and a specific name to his latest creation: chameleon and wave.
In fact, the first is able to adapt to the environment in which it is located and the second, the wave, indicates the sinuous curves of the earth and landscape.
This special name tells a very long story, the wealth of this product exists precisely in its ability to adapt and its extreme flexibility.
A tangible balance is outlined between the rigorous geometry of the shapes and the roundness of the padding, which underline elasticity and the possibility of personalization, so as to make it a special sessions system, synonymous with expressive freedom.
It is in fact possible, to combine the various modules, transforming them, through a system of hooks that allows you to hook and release the sessions themselves, the backs and armrests, making this project each time a different object, capable of redesigning space.
Give it different shapes and sizes thus allows to transform the environments and vary their functions, giving it plasticity and character.
It is not just an object but rather a real change, a revolution that starts from the needs of man to transform into a domestic sculpture.
Measures :
Large modules: 96 cm x 96 cm h 67
Small module: 96 cm x 63 cm h 67
