Vintage Design
The firm of CADO was set-up and owned by Danish designer, Poul Cadovius. He bought out the older firm of France & Søn in 1966 and continued to use the brand name and designs. Many pieces from the transition phase bear both the CADO and France & Søn hallmarks, as does this set with the red on silver CADO badge on the frame and the France & Søn logo on the upholstery labels detailing the model number.
Deep-buttoned upholstery in a soft, dark brown leather on a bentwood frame of blonde ash with the laminations visible at the side. The head rest can be adjusted between two positions.
Designer unknown but it bears many similarities to the models designed by Ditte & Adrian Heath for CADO/France.
