A beautiful and intricate hand embroidered evening bag from India. The use of gold and silver thread and precious jewels in embroidery is known as Zardozi and was once used to embellish the attire of the Kings and the royals in India. Egg shell, off white silk dupioni is embroidered in silver metal and silk thread in shades of greens, lavenders and dusty roses on both sides. Additionally, genuine emerald and ruby cabochons and beads are incorporated into the design. The interior of the bag is the same silk dupioni with snap closure and has two elastic side pockets. It measures 7.5 inches wide at the top and 11.13 inches at the bottom. It is 1.75 inches at the widest and 5 inches high.
