A beautiful and intricate hand embroidered evening bag from India. The use of gold and silver thread and precious jewels in embroidery is known as Zardozi and was once used to embellish the attire of the Kings and the royals in India. Red silk dupioni is embroidered with antique gold tone thread and tiny beads in a floral design on both sides. Additionally, genuine ruby beads are incorporated into the flowers. The largest central flower has a 9 x 11 mm oval faceted lemon quartz stone. The interior of the bag is the same silk dupioni with snap closure and has two elastic side pockets. It measures 7.5 inches wide at the top and 11.13 inches at the bottom. It is 1.75 inches at the widest and 5 inches high.
